A Word Discovery Group implements the Word Discovery Method to develop a clearer understanding of the Word. There are four simple steps used in the discovery process.
Which video conferencing platform should i use?
We use Zoom. The participants do not have to purchase their account. All that is required is that you create a free account.
How do I log onto Zoom?
Once you register for the group you will receive your group Zoom Meeting ID. Sign into your account and use the number provided.
What happens if I can no longer continue with my Word Discovery Group midway?
Life happens and we understand that. Thankfully technology, can be of great help with this. You can either find a group that would better suit your schedule, or simply follow your group's progress via video recording sessions upon request.
My church group wants to have its own Word Discovery Group. How do we get started?

I am interested in becoming a Word Discovery Group (WDG) facilitator. How do I get involved?
Great! Here are the steps to follow: 1. Participate in a WDG for a minimum of a year. 2. Complete at least 2 training segments during the summer. 3. Complete application and interview. (Currently open only to FCF members)
How long do Word Discovery Groups meet?
Most groups last between and hour and hour and a half. The Spring Session will run from January 15-May 21, followed by a summer break, and a Fall Session that runs from July 23-November 18.
What happens in my weekly Word Discovery Group meeting?
Group meetings will include looking at the Word line upon line, one book at a time, as well as discussion and prayer.
